what a great day!

First of all, I have 3- count them 3 days left at my super boring job! woo hoo! and friday is a half day! We had our weight ultrasound today so they could measure our baby in case she was actually as big as my fundal growth suggested and she's not. She's a perfectly healthy 7lbs 14oz! The tech said she will probably gain an ounce a day at this point. I'm due in 9 days- so that's an 8 lb 5 oz baby. They said they could be off as much as a pound, but the tech is the one that corrected my due date in the first place so i trust her. It was an amazing ultrasound- first of all the baby looks huge on the big screen. They measured her head and it is 9cm from one side to the other (not around). She is measuring at 38w5d on the nose too. Already a perfectionist- i like her! We couldn't get a clear shot of her face because she was hiding behind the placenta, but we did get a shot of her huge feet- she has dh's long toes. We also got to watch her suck on her wrist (not her fingers, but her wrist) and practice her breathing- which was awesome considering the only oxygen she gets is from me! It was just a great day. James got all red and welled up and did what he always does- stand in front of the screen for a better view and block mine. lol. so yeah- end of next week ready or not! it'll be exciting to see what my dr says on friday. i doubt with her being normal size that my dr will want to induce me, which is FINE BY ME and the tech said that they don't normally suggest a c section until 4500 grams and Amelia only weighs 3500 grams so this kid may be coming out the normal way. i can't wait!
